2006 The Year that was
Let's see.. what are the more prominent experiences that happened in 2006..
- I went to Bangkok for holiday in January, thanks to Air Asia free flights promotion. It was a 100% shopping + catch up with friends trip. Walk till you drop..Shop till you burn a hole in your pocket! Hahaha..but it's Bangkok, the hole was quite minimal.
- I spent my first Chinese New Year as a married couple in PJ. Last year I went down to Penang. It was a really quite New Year. We slept through the entire 2nd day of New Year. Then again, my husband was sick on that day.
- Finally, at the very last moment, just before the year comes to an end, Ferns released their long awaited album
- After months of agony and wait, my husband bought his 'bella' at a very good price. He's absolutely delighted with it.
- I own a pair of boots. Awww..I wore it out only once though.
- My first trip to London in November. It's really lovely. hehe. They like to use the word "lovely". I didn't expect to like London as much as I did when I was there. I want to see the rest of England now.. and Europe!
- Wheee..My brother made me Tiramisu..after I asked him XX number of times.
- Oh, I finally saw a Mola Mola! Unfortunately, it was quite a distance away. Sigh. That's my fault for not swimming faster. But the water was freezing cold! I saw 4 dolphins too..at a distance. They look surreal.
- My company's trip was to Phuket. It was great fun. After that, my colleagues have banned me from drinking.
- My husband surprised me the day before my birthday. He was out at KLCC for dinner with his colleague. Then later at night, I got a call from him, asking me if I want to go for a drive. He sounded so happy that I thought he may have been drinking. I was wondering why he sounded so cheerful. He usually sounds erm..melancholy? When I got to the car, there was a bouquet of flowers waiting for me. And a gift. So sweet. hehe. Then we went to Alexis for cake and coffee. My birthday dinner was at Dorae Garden, Korean BBQ at Sri Hartamas. We really like the place.
- End year disaster - My Mandarin teacher got into an accident. Her condition is now stable. It's really unfortunate for her.... I hope things turn around for the better. We have a hiatus now from Mandarin lessons. Good thing my uncle in London passed me his 'Learn Mandarin' cd and book. I can now continue with my lessons. ( It was an embarrassment when I visited my teacher and I couldn't speak Mandarin to her relatives)
- It has been decided. We're moving out to a place of our "own". That's something to look forward to in 2007.
